For easy mouth replacement, I have decided to go magnet. Here is the painted head and mouth set, with the magnet set within the two part of the skull. The magnetic pull is very soft, which should make the mouth replacement routine almost effortless, with little risk of displacing the puppet in the process.
Awesome!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the full puppet put together.
Excellent work on the heads!

These are terrific! Great idea with the magnets!
ReplyDeletewould never have thought of using magnets, very creative idea
ReplyDeleteHow is it going? No news is... good news, right?
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out. Holiday break and home move... so I am afraid the project will be on hold for a little while. Will be back at it with a vengeance.
DeleteJust came across your blog. Very exciting, I was a huge Grim Fandango fan. I'm looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteDoes the project still alive? I love the idea :)
ReplyDeleteStill alive, but hibernating. Lost my little workshop space, studying hard for an exam during my non-working time, I will need to expand that break until mid-march 2013.
DeleteThanks for answer :) I understand, your life is the first, good luck with the exam!
DeleteHope you will do great with your exam, may the Manny force be with you !
ReplyDeleteCome back to that project ASAP, I miss it in my blogroll weekly check ;)
Thank you for keeping the gentle pressure. I am craving to get back into it... but unfortunately I have some pretty boring priorities to deal with as explained above. But we will close this hiatus in due time and get back seriously to the project soon.
